Busy Busy…

Sorry, my friends… No time to blog right now, I am preparing 2 big exhibitions, all together about 80 paintings. The exhibiting artists will know what a work that means!

The first one will start on Wednesday in Vera (Spain, Almeria). I will exhibit there bigger acrylics paintings on canvas, characterized by strong colours (as always I guess!) and structures.

The other one will start on Friday, in the culture centre of Moajcar (Spain, Almeria). The main theme will be bullfight paintings.

Both exhibitions are meant to introduce me in that area, as we are moving there right now. I will open a new gallery/atelier in Turre   (Spain, Almeria) in October, so you see, still much work to come!

Inside a Shroud of a Thousand Plastic Bubbles…

Well, the big bull I had to fight is comfortably installed in his coffin now, beautifully wrapped inside a shroud of a thousand plastic bubbles, the entire creation standing in a van which will leave Spain in some days in the direction of the U.K. I Just hope that the bull -which in fact is not really dead!- won’t cause too much havoc inside there, and that the client will welcome him as a pet to adorn his living room…

I enjoyed that fight, although 2 months ago, after having painting the 13 bullfights for the 2010 calendar I had sworn to myself not to go back into the arena for a while. But well, this is what one calls “aficion”, one can’t do anything to prevent it!

Acrylics on canvas – 144 x 195 cm

The Coffee Cup Mambo

Kev Moore, Rocker and  Mon Amour, wrote this piece a few months back, in homage to Cafe Crem. He dedicated it to all our friends there, and I myself want to dedicate it too to all my friends HERE who love their coffee in the morning and can’t function without it… as we do!I

Toros Counting Your Days…

As I announced in the past a big European editing and printing company took me under contract in 2007 to make bullfight calendars. The calendar 2009 has just been published and is now available,

It is 42 x 42 cm big, beautiful ( :-) ), hand-signed and personally dedicated if you wish…

Please leave me a comment here or contact me at “miki@goodaboom.com” if you want to order one.
